1. Rotating the monitor display
If you press some keys and your monitor suddenly changes from horizontal display to a vertical one, you can change it back by pressing CTRL-ALT and one of the arrow keys (the ones that move the cursor around).
2. Backup the desktop and favorite folders besides other documents.
3. If you suddenly lost a file or folder, you might have accidently dragged and MOVED it somewhere. Try to do a search for a known file and you may be able to locate it.
4. Files deleted from a flash drive usually are not saved in the Recyle Bin and might not be able to recover fully. Make sure you have a daily backup of all new and updated files and remove the flash drive from your PC before you do a major clean-up on your hard drives. In fact it is highly recommended that you disconnect all external drives before reformatting any cable-connected drive or re-installing the OS.
5. Fails to boot after installing new software
Uninstal the sofeware and reboot.
6. Software fails after installation
After installation, if the program does not run properly or something

8. Command prompt doesn't stay open
If the command prompt (Dos) from Window XP exits after opening for a few seconds, it is very likely caused by a low disk memory in C drive. For a quick fix, delete old files and folders especially from Recycle Bin. You can also move some folders to other external disks which is easier than replacing the disk in C drive.
