In a recent article we shared three unusual but very hands-on uses of vacuum sealer bags. If you have not read it, let me reiterate these practices once more: ammo and bullets sealing up, precious metals protection and extension of battery life.

In the next lines, I will share another three or four additional uses for these sealing bags. The more uses you can give to any specific asset, belonging or property you own, the more value you will get out of your buying. So without further ado, let’s dive in.

4. Medicines. It is suggested that anyone seals up individual pouches of medical products holding a variety of medicines like aspirins, chewable tablets –Pepto Bismol like tablets-, allergy pills, insect repellant wipes, advil –ibuprofen-, chloraseptic cough lozenges, etc. In this way, every time you travel, go camping or have to handle an emergency situation you will be already prepared.

5. Surgical Kit. Also, so you can be prepared in case of a possible unfavorable event, it is wise to have a basic surgical kit sealed up. You can put together elements such as tweezers, suture needles, gloves, medical tape, gauze, silk suture thread, silver solution, small knife. Salt can be added for cleaning mouths after extractions.

6. Newborn Gift Sets. Each time you use generic vacuum bags roll like ours; you will be able to cut it to any size, seal one edge, fill it in and seal the other end. Obviously, you can gather inside a few thick cloth diapers, several diaper pins, baby bottle with a nipple, a few packages of powdered infant formula, etc.

7. Local Honey. It should not come as surprise the fact that honey, if well preserved, can last indefinitely. This makes it a very suitable solution to have some sweetener around. So, having some honey sealed up will almost guarantee the provision of this useful food for always (providing you have enough of it).

8. Toilet Paper. This item is quite fragile if not stored properly and one of the most needed ones in case of an emergency. Don’t be concerned if the roll crushes out during the vacuum sealing process itself because you can bend the inner tube back into shape once you open the bag and let the air flow inside.

From reading these useful descriptions anyone could believe that the user is planning for a catastrophic situation. While this may be true, this information should not be treated as the only scenario where they apply. Bear in mind that emergency situations can arise any minute and the more preparation work that you can put ahead the quicker you will be able to react and, as you know, every minute you save towards your final purpose/destination, it could mean a very big deal for the end result (whichever it may be).
